Taylors Landing, Alsea River

Taylors Landing is a small community near the head of the tide on the Alsea River in the Coast Range, about 17.4 miles (28 km) west of Alsea and 6.4 miles (10 km) east-southeast of Waldport, Oregon.

The river flows for about 48 miles (78 km) from the confluence of the North Fork Alsea River and the South Fork Alsea River and ends in Alsea Bay, a wide estuary near the city of Waldport on the Oregon coast. The river flows generally west-northwest in a winding course through the coastal mountains and the Siuslaw National Forest. The river passes near a series of small communities including Tidewater, Little Albany, Westwood Village, and Taylors Landing.

The Alsea River supports runs of Chinook and Coho salmon, as well as steelhead and coastal cutthroat trout. The Alsea River Fish Hatchery is on the North Fork Alsea River. Learn more about the Alsea River here and here.  Explore more of Taylors landing and the Alsea River here:
